Le Belvédère

Le Belvédère is part of the Chemin des Carrières project in Rosheim, France, where the Norwegian firm Reiulf Ramstad Arkitekter transformed a former railway line between Rosheim and Saint-Nabor into an 11-kilometer-long landscape park featuring Corten steel installations and pavilions. The belvedere itself is a Corten steel viewing platform at the Saint-Nabor station, built on stilts into the slope, offering panoramic views over the Rosheim valley and the Alsace plains. Studio de Nooyer photographed this exceptional landscape architecture project in France, where the expressive Corten steel forms, the surrounding landscape, and the shifting light were defining elements for the photography. An impressive example of how architectural photography captures the power of a public landscape project.
