Gare du Nord
Klunder Architecten
Amsterdam, Netherlands
Gare du Nord is a large-scale mixed-use project located next to Station Noord, the starting point of the North/South line in Amsterdam. The design by Klunder Architecten consists of five building blocks featuring rental apartments, student housing, two hotels, and a parking garage, with a 70-meter-high residential tower as its centerpiece. Studio de Nooyer photographed this extensive new-build project in Amsterdam-Noord, focusing on the varied facade treatments, the urban context, and the relationship with the public transport hub. It serves as an excellent example of architectural photography for large-scale area development in a rapidly changing district.
