Architectural photography of the renovated Eindhoven train station.
The main themes for the renovation and extension of the station were ‘making space’ and ‘light’. The monumental South Hall and the main entrance on the city side have been renovated in their original state. The stores have moved to a new passage.
Within the original building structure, the new passage has been cleverly integrated and connected to the restored monumental passage. The new bypass doubles the transfer capacity for rail passengers to the platforms and also the north side of the building. Lifts, new stairs and escalators make all platforms comfortably accessible.
